  • 8 slices of bread
  • 8 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  3. Melt a small amount of butter in the skillet or griddle.
  4. Dip bread slices in the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.
  5. Place four slices of bread in the skillet or griddle and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Flip the slices over and add a slice of ham and a slice of cheese to each.
  7. Cook until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Repeat with the remaining bread slices, ham, and cheese.
  9. Serve hot.
