How To Make Debra’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies are a classic favorite, with a crispy exterior and soft, gooey interior.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Drop tablespoon-sized mounds of dough onto a greased baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and just set.

Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
