How To Make Chocolate Silk Pie Recipe
A silky smooth chocolate pie that melts in your mouth.

Ingredients
- 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Blind bake the pie crust according to the instructions.
- In a double boiler, melt the butter and chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until well combined.
- Slowly pour in the melted chocolate mixture, while whisking continuously, until the filling is smooth and silky.
- Pour the filling into the baked pie crust and smooth out the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the filling is set around the edges but still slightly jiggly in the center.
- Let the pie cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
- Serve cold with whipped cream on top.
