How To Make Dutch Oven Apricot Glazed Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup apricot preserves
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the apricot preserves, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, honey, and garlic.

  3. In a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, add the olive oil.

  4. Sear the chicken breasts on both sides until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  5. Pour the glaze over the chicken and add the chicken broth to the Dutch oven.

  6. Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cover the Dutch oven.

  7. Cook the chicken for 45-50 minutes until fully cooked and the glaze has reduced and thickened.

  8. Serve the chicken with plenty of glaze spooned over the top.
