Tender chicken thighs cooked in a sweet and tangy orange glaze on a cast iron skillet.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.

  4. Heat a 10-inch cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.

  5. Brown the chicken skin-side down first for 5-6 minutes until golden.

  6. Flip the chicken over and pour the orange glaze over it, spreading it around with a brush.

  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy.

  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
