- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually add water and mix until a dough forms.
-
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it with your hands.

Brush each flattened dough with vegetable oil, then stretch it out gently using your hands. Fold the dough in half, then fold it again to form a triangle. Roll it out into a thin circle.

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook each roti canai for about 2 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Brush each side with melted butter while cooking.
-
Serve hot with curry or your favorite condiments.
