How To Make Oatmeal with Dates

This healthy recipe is good for people who are trying to lose weight. This dish is light yet filling.

  • 1 cup oats
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup dates, pitted and halved


  1. Bring water to a boil.
  2. Add salt and add rolled oats slowly.
  3. Cover over low flame in a double boiler.
  4. Cook 45 minutes.
  5. When done add dates.
  6. Mix thoroughly.
  7. Serve with cream and sugar.
