Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract.

  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  5. Stir in chocolate chips.

  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
