Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the onions and garlic. Cook until the onions are translucent.

  4. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture.

  5. Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and onions, stirring to coat.

  6. Slowly pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.

  7. Stir in the sour cream and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Return the beef to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the beef is cooked through and the flavors are well combined.

  9. In a separate bowl, toss the cooked fettuccine with the fresh parsley and dill.

  10. Serve the beef stroganoff over the herby pasta and enjoy!
