Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Cooked egg noodles, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

  2. In the same skillet, add the diced onion and sauté until translucent. Add the mushrooms and garlic, and cook until the mushrooms are tender.

  3. Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.

  4. Stir in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, until heated through.

  5. Serve the stroganoff over cooked egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley.
