Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- 8 small pretzel sticks
- Black writing icing
- Orange writing icing
- White icing sugar for dusting
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Set aside.
-
In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.
-
Gradually add in the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until a dough forms.
-
Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape them into balls. Flatten each ball slightly to create the snowman’s body.
-
Place the flattened dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between each for spreading.
-
Use the chocolate chips to create eyes, buttons, and a mouth for each snowman biscuit.
-
Break each pretzel stick in half and use them to create arms for the snowmen.
-
Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until firm to the touch.
-
Allow the biscuits to cool completely on a wire rack before decorating.
-
Use the black writing icing to draw on a hat and stick arms for each snowman.
-
Use the orange writing icing to create a carrot nose for each snowman.
-
Finish by dusting each biscuit with white icing sugar to create a snowy effect.
-
Serve and enjoy!
