Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced apple
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a muffin tin with muffin liners.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together brown sugar, melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. Add wet ingredients into dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in diced apples.

  5. Scoop the batter evenly into muffin liners. Drizzle caramel sauce on top.

  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let the muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them onto a wire rack to cool completely.
