Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread, cubed
  • 1 lb sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  2. Add a layer of bread cubes to the bottom of the dish, followed by a layer of sausage and cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used up.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour over the bread mixture.

  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.

  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

  6. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
