How To Make Chocolate Candy Caramel Apples

Ingredients

  • 4 Granny Smith apples
  • 1/2 cup of caramel candies
  • 1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • Crushed candies or nuts, for topping
  • 4 wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples. Insert skewers into the top of each apple.

  2. In a small saucepan, melt the caramel candies over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth.

  3. Dip each apple into the melted caramel, spooning the caramel over the apple to coat it completely.

  4. Place the coated apples onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. In another small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips with the milk over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth.

  6. Dip each caramel coated apple into the melted chocolate, spooning the chocolate over the apple to coat it completely.

  7. Sprinkle crushed candies or nuts over the top of the chocolate before it cools and hardens.

  8. Place the finished apples on the parchment lined baking sheet to cool and harden before serving.
