Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp water

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

  2. In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm. Add to the flour mixture along with egg, and mix well.

  3. Stir in raisins and cinnamon.

  4. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.

  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

  6. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  7. Shape dough into a ring and place on a greased baking sheet.

  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and water to make a glaze. Drizzle over the bread.
