  • 1 cup dark rum
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

  2. For each serving, add a heaping tablespoon of the butter mixture to a mug.

  3. Pour in one-quarter of the rum and top off with boiling water.

  4. Stir until the butter has melted and ingredients are well combined.
