  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup rum
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • Whipped cream, for garnish
  • Ground cinnamon, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt until well combined.

  2. Add rum to the bowl and mix until smooth.

  3. Divide the batter evenly among 4 mugs.

  4. Pour 1 cup of boiling water into each mug and stir until the batter is dissolved.

  5. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
