Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 (16 oz) can sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

  4. Pour in the chicken broth and sauerkraut. Stir to combine.

  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.

  6. Serve hot with bread or potatoes on the side.
