How To Make Salt-baked Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 4 cups of coarse sea salt
  • 4 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 4 cloves of garlic

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Scrub the potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  3. Using a fork, pierce the potatoes all over to allow steam to escape during baking.

  4. Spread a layer of coarse sea salt on the bottom of a baking dish or pan.

  5. Place the potatoes on top of the salt, ensuring that they are evenly spaced.

  6. Insert a sprig of rosemary and a clove of garlic into each potato.

  7. Cover the potatoes completely with the remaining sea salt, packing it tightly around them.

  8. Bake the potatoes in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork.

  9. Remove the potatoes from the oven and allow them to cool for 10 minutes.

  10. Use a knife to crack the salt crust and carefully remove the potatoes.

  11. Serve hot and enjoy!
