Ingredients

  • 1 lb runner beans, ends trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. Add the runner beans and sauté for 4-5 minutes until they start to soften.

  4. Stir in the chopped hazelnuts and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the beans are crisp-tender.

  5. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top and cover the skillet for 1-2 minutes until the cheese has melted.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Serve hot as a side dish.
