  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.

  2. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

  3. Add bell pepper, mushrooms, broccoli, snap peas, and carrots. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until vegetables are tender-crisp.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.

  5. Pour sauce over vegetables and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  6. Serve hot as a main dish or as a side.
