How To Make Steaks with Goulash Sauce & Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients
- 4 steaks (1 inch thick)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 sweet potatoes, cut into fries
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- Vegetable oil for frying

Preheat your grill or pan to medium-high heat.

Rub the steaks with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.

In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened.

Add bell pepper, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, paprika, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper. Stir well and simmer for 15 minutes.

While the sauce is simmering, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a bowl, toss sweet potato fries with cornstarch until well coated. Spread evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with vegetable oil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until crispy.

Serve the steaks with the goulash sauce and sweet potato fries on the side.
