How To Make Slow Cooker Swiss Steak Recipe

Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds beef round steak, cut into serving-size pieces
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions

In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Dredge each piece of steak in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the steak on both sides, working in batches if needed. Transfer the browned steak to the slow cooker.

In the same skillet, sauté sliced onion and green bell pepper until tender. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Pour the tomato mixture over the steak in the slow cooker.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the steak is tender.

Serve the Swiss steak with the tomato gravy spooned over the top. Enjoy!
