How To Make Spicy Potted Crab

Ingredients

  • 500g fresh crab meat
  • 2 red chili peppers, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and chili peppers and sauté until fragrant.

  2. Add the crab meat, paprika, and cayenne pepper to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Squeeze the lemon juice over the crab mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.

  4. Remove from heat and transfer the crab mixture into small serving pots or ramekins. Press down gently to compact the mixture.

  5. Allow the pots to cool before refrigerating for at least 2 hours to set.

  6. Serve the spicy potted crab with toasted bread or crackers. Garnish with fresh parsley.
