How To Make Potted Fresh & Smoked Salmon

Ingredients

  • 200g fresh salmon fillet
  • 100g smoked salmon
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • 4 tbsp softened unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Toasted bread or crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. Steam the fresh salmon fillet for 8-10 minutes until cooked through. Let it cool, then flake into small pieces.

  2. In a bowl, mix the flaked fresh salmon, smoked salmon, lemon juice, dill, chives, softened butter, salt, and pepper.

  3. Spoon the mixture into small pots or ramekins, pressing it down slightly.

  4. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.

  5. Serve the potted salmon with toasted bread or crackers.
