How To Make Southern Fried Fish Finger Sandwiches

- 1 lb white fish fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 4 soft sandwich buns
- Tartar sauce
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C) and place a wire rack on a baking sheet.

Cut the fish fillets into finger-sized pieces.

In a shallow dish, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Dip each fish finger into the beaten eggs, then coat with the flour mixture.

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.

Fry the fish fingers until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally.

Transfer the cooked fish fingers to the wire rack to drain excess oil, then place them in the oven to keep warm.

Toast the sandwich buns in the same skillet until lightly golden.

Spread tartar sauce on the bottom half of each bun.

Layer lettuce leaves, fish fingers, and sliced tomatoes on top.
