Ingredients

  • 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 can (14 ounces) of diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup of white wine
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Cooked pasta or rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes and sauté for 1 minute.

  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, white wine, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss them in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat the shrimp through.

  5. Serve the shrimp Fra Diablo over cooked pasta or rice. Garnish with fresh parsley.
