How To Make Chilli & Lime Squid Salad

Ingredients

  • 500g squid, cleaned and sliced
  • 2 red chillies, seeded and finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 tablespoons of fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • Handful of fresh mint leaves
  • Handful of fresh cilantro leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the squid, chillies, garlic, lime juice, fish sauce, soy sauce, and honey. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.

  2. Heat a grill pan or barbecue over high heat. Cook the squid for 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked through and slightly charred. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the onion, cucumber, mint leaves, and cilantro leaves. Add the cooked squid and toss gently to combine.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Serve the squid salad chilled and garnished with additional mint and cilantro leaves.
