How To Make Stuffed Green Peppers

Ingredients
- 4 large green peppers
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut off the tops of the green peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess grease.

Stir in the cooked rice, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Spoon the beef and rice mixture into the hollowed-out green peppers.

Pour the marinara sauce over the stuffed peppers.

Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each stuffed pepper.

Return the peppers to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
