How To Make Liver with Wild Mushrooms

Ingredients
- 1 lb liver, sliced
- 8 oz wild mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup beef or chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions

Season the liver slices with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the liver slices and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the liver from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.

Add the sliced mushrooms and dried thyme. Cook for another 5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.

Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and stir to coat evenly.

Slowly pour in the broth while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until thickened.

Stir in the heavy cream and return the liver slices to the skillet. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the liver is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Serve the liver with wild mushrooms hot with your choice of side dish.
