Ingredients

  • 4 steak fillets
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 ciabatta rolls
  • 1/4 cup olive & caper butter
  • 4 leaves of lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. Season the steak fillets with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat olive oil in a griddle pan over high heat.

  3. Cook the steak fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until desired doneness.

  4. Remove the steak from the pan and allow it to rest for a few minutes.

  5. Slice the ciabatta rolls in half and toast them on the griddle pan.

  6. Spread the olive & caper butter on one side of each roll.

  7. Place a leaf of lettuce on each bottom half of the rolls.

  8. Top with a steak fillet and tomato slices.

  9. Cover with the other half of the roll.

  10. Serve the griddled steak sandwiches immediately.
