How To Make Tex-Mex Fish Fillets

Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Lime wedges, for serving
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the fillets.

  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish fillets and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.

  5. Transfer the seared fillets to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  6. Serve the Tex-Mex fish fillets with lime wedges and garnish with fresh cilantro.
