For Salad:

  • 4cupsgreen cabbage,shredded
  • 1cuppurple cabbage,shredded
  • 1cupcarrots,shredded
  • ¼cupgreen onions,sliced, plus more for garnish
  • 3cupschicken,cooked
  • ½cupslivered almonds,toasted
  • ¾cupwonton strips
  • 1tbspsesame seeds

For Dressing:

  • 2tbspvegetable oil
  • ¼cuprice vinegar
  • ¼cuphoisin sauce
  • 1tbspsoy sauce
  • 1tspfresh ginger,finely grated
  • 1tbsptoasted sesame oil


  1. Place the green cabbage, purple cabbage, carrots, green onions, chicken and almonds in a bowl.

  2. Combine the vegetable oil, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl. Whisk until well combined.

  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture.

  4. Toss to coat evenly, then sprinkle the wonton strips and sesame seeds over the salad.

  5. Garnish with sliced green onions.
