How To Make Sweet Coconut Rice

Ingredients
- 1 cup sticky rice
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut, for garnish
Instructions

Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.

In a saucepan, combine the sticky rice, coconut milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Stir well to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pan. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

Remove the pan from the heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.

Fluff the rice with a fork and transfer it to a serving dish.

Sprinkle the shredded coconut on top of the rice for garnish.
