How To Make Springtime Spaghetti & Meatballs

Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions

Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, basil, egg, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the marinara sauce and cherry tomatoes. Bring to a simmer.

Return the meatballs to the skillet and let them simmer in the sauce for 15-20 minutes, until cooked through.

Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Garnish with chopped fresh basil.
