How To Make Louise’s Italian Cafe Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe
A classic Italian dish with homemade meatballs served over spaghetti in a rich tomato sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 pound spaghetti
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Form mixture into 2-3 inch meatballs.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides. Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add onion and garlic and sauté until softened, about 3-5 minutes.

Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir to combine.

Add meatballs back to the skillet and let simmer in the sauce for 30 minutes.

While the meatballs are simmering, cook spaghetti according to package instructions.

Serve meatballs and sauce over spaghetti.
