How To Make Macaroni Cheese with Mushrooms

Ingredients
- 8 oz macaroni
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.

Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir to combine. Cook for 2 minutes, until flour is lightly golden.

Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.

Reduce heat to low and stir in cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.

Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to coat.

Transfer macaroni and cheese to a baking dish. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
