How To Make Shrimp Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice, chilled
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the beaten eggs and scramble until cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.

  3. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  4. Add the mixed vegetables to the skillet and cook until tender.

  5. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the chilled rice. Break up any clumps and stir-fry for a few minutes until heated through.

  6. Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet, along with the scrambled eggs.

  7. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce and oyster sauce. Pour the sauce over the rice and shrimp mixture. Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.

  9. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.

  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
