A simple jambalaya recipe if you’re craving for some Southern cuisine! A tasty broth from the juices of seafood, spices, and vegetables all simmering away in a crockpot.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup green peppers, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1 14 oz. whole tomatoes
  • 1 beef broth
  • 1 pound shrimp, shelled
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. parsley
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup tomato paste
  • 12 oz. boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into 1 inch pieces.
  2. Put all ingredients (except shrimp and rice) in crockpot.
  3. Cover; cook on low for 8 hours.
  4. Add shrimp the last 20 minutes of cooking.
  5. Stir in rice before serving.
