Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Boil the sweet potatoes in a large pot of water until fork-tender, about 10 minutes. Drain.

  3. In a large bowl, mash the sweet potatoes with a fork or potato masher until smooth.

  4. Add the brown sugar, melted butter, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the mashed sweet potatoes. Mix well.

  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.

  6. Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the top of the casserole.

  7. Bake for 20 minutes.

  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the mini marshmallows on top.

  9. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and melted.

  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
