How To Make Korean BBQ Short Ribs (Galbi) Recipe

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef short ribs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green onions to make the marinade.

  2. Place the short ribs in a large resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the ribs. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.

  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the ribs from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.

  4. Grill the ribs for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached.

  5. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds (optional) before serving.
