How To Make Braised Short Ribs
You can prepare these decadent braised short ribs in just 15 minutes with barbecue sauce tossed over tender ribs for a flavorful weeknight dinner meal.

Ingredients
- 2tspkosher salt
- ½tspblack pepper,coarse ground
- ¼cupflour
- ¼cupVegetable Oil
- 1yellow onion,chopped
- 3lbsbeef short ribs,thick cut English Style
- 2cupsbbq sauce
- 1cupbeef broth
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F, season ribs with salt and pepper and toss with flour.

In the dutch oven, add the oil and set the oven to high heat then brown the beef on all sides until dark brown for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.

Lower the heat to medium, add the onions and caramelize them to a nice deep golden brown color for about 3 minutes.

Add the bbq sauce, beef broth, and short ribs back into the pot leaving them exposed by about ½ inch.

Put the covered dutch oven in your oven and cook for 2 to 2 ½ hours or until the meat is tender and can easily be pierced with a fork.
