How To Make Recipe Name Saffron and Chocolate Truffles

Rich and luxurious with a hint of saffron, these chocolate truffles are the perfect indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 100g dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 80ml heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp saffron threads
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the cream and saffron threads over low heat until just simmering.

  2. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.

  3. Strain the cream through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, discarding the saffron threads.

  4. In a double boiler or heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, melt the chocolate and butter, stirring constantly.

  5. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the saffron-infused cream.

  6. Transfer the mixture to a shallow dish and refrigerate until firm, about 1-2 hours.

  7. Use a small cookie scoop or spoon to form the chocolate mixture into small balls and roll into cocoa powder.

  8. Serve at room temperature.
