How To Make Clove and Caramelized Onion Tart
A savory tart with a fragrant clove aroma and rich caramelized onions.

Ingredients
- 1 pie crust
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a saucepan, melt butter and add olive oil.

Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown, stirring occasionally for 20-25 minutes.

Add ground cloves and mix well. Set aside.

Roll out the pie crust and place it into a tart pan.

In a bowl, whisk eggs and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper.

Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the pie crust.

Pour egg mixture on top of the onions.

Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the tart is golden brown and set.
