Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 sweet onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 Polish sausages, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and place in a 9-inch tart pan, pressing into the bottom and sides.

  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil on medium-high heat and sauté onions until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes.

  4. Arrange sausage slices on top of the pastry, followed by the caramelized onions. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until pastry is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
