How To Make Onion, Walnut & Mushroom Tarte Tatin

Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 cup of walnuts, roughly chopped
- 8 oz of mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 2 tbsp of balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.

In a separate skillet, sauté the mushrooms until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

Add the balsamic vinegar to the mushrooms and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Line a 9-inch round baking dish with the puff pastry sheet, trimming any excess.

Spread the caramelized onions evenly on top of the puff pastry.

Sprinkle the sautéed mushrooms and chopped walnuts over the onions.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.

Serve warm as an appetizer or light lunch.
