How To Make Peach Tarte Tatin
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
In a skillet, melt the sugar over medium heat until it turns into a golden caramel.
-
Add the butter to the caramel and stir until melted and well combined.
-
Arrange the peach slices in a single layer in the skillet, on top of the caramel.
-
Cook the peaches for 3-5 minutes, until they start to soften.
-
Meanwhile, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into a circle that’s slightly larger than the skillet.
-
Carefully place the puff pastry on top of the peaches, tucking the edges into the skillet.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.
-
Remove the skillet from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
-
Place a serving plate on top of the skillet and carefully flip it over, so that the tart is now on the plate.
-
Serve the Peach Tarte Tatin warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
