How To Make Peach Tarte Tatin

Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 30 minutes
Total: 45 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a skillet, melt the sugar over medium heat until it turns into a golden caramel.

  3. Add the butter to the caramel and stir until melted and well combined.

  4. Arrange the peach slices in a single layer in the skillet, on top of the caramel.

  5. Cook the peaches for 3-5 minutes, until they start to soften.

  6. Meanwhile, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into a circle that’s slightly larger than the skillet.

  7. Carefully place the puff pastry on top of the peaches, tucking the edges into the skillet.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.

  9. Remove the skillet from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

  10. Place a serving plate on top of the skillet and carefully flip it over, so that the tart is now on the plate.

  11. Serve the Peach Tarte Tatin warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
