Ingredients

  • 6 large shallots, peeled and halved
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.

  8. Let the tart cool for a few minutes, then carefully invert it onto a serving plate.

  9. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  10. Slice and serve warm.
