How To Make Shallot Tarte Tatin with Goat’s Cheese

Ingredients
- 6 large shallots, peeled and halved
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 4 oz goat’s cheese, crumbled
- Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shallots and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Sprinkle the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar over the shallots. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until caramelized.

Place the puff pastry sheet over the caramelized shallots, tucking in the edges.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the pastry is golden and puffed.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Carefully invert the tart onto a serving plate.

Sprinkle the crumbled goat’s cheese over the tart and garnish with fresh thyme leaves. Season with salt and pepper.

Slice and serve warm.
