How To Make Indian Potato Pie

Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 cup peas
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

Add chopped onions, green chili, and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté until onions turn translucent.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well.

Add mashed potatoes, peas, and salt. Mix everything together.

Roll out one sheet of puff pastry and line a greased pie dish with it.

Pour the potato filling into the pie dish and spread it evenly.

Cover the filling with the second sheet of puff pastry and seal the edges.

Brush the top with a little oil and make small slits with a knife for steam to escape.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the pastry turns golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
